The Activia Challenge (and Starting a Blog)

I've tried to start blogs before, but I always fail right away. I think it has something to do with the pressure that I put on the first post. I have all of these thoughts about what a first post should be - an introduction, something that expresses my personality, concerning a topic that isn't too specific but yet has some significance . . . see? Too much pressure. So for this first post, I intend to write about the Activia Challenge.

You've probably seen the commercials for this particular line of Dannon Yogurt. In the most recent one, Jamie Lee Curtis confronts a happy couple at the gym and casually asks them about their digestive tracts. Fortunately, they've been eating Activia, which apparently provides solutions to some of life's most difficult problems - namely, bloating and weight loss. Just eat it for fourteen days in a row, they say, and you will see results - guaranteed! Hmm . . .

Well, in the spirit of New Year's resolutions and turning over new leaves and any number of applicable cliches that relate to trying new things, I have committed to the Activia Challenge. I actually just ate my first "dose" - a little cup of blueberry yogurt. It disappeared in about three bites, and I have to admit, I am wondering how in the world such a little amount of yogurt can make a big difference.

I'll keep you updated (sparing details, of course) on the Challenge, in case you were considering trying it yourself. Happy New Year to you!
