Procrastination Central

Full disclosure: I should definitely be studying right now. I don't think I have ever had senioritis as bad as this semester. I only have one exam and one term paper to right, and still I find it almost impossible to buckle down and get going. Maybe it's because the light at the end of the tunnel isn't a very bright or tempting one, since as soon as I am finished with school, I have to start my bar prep class . . . which basically means more school, M-F, all summer long. Ugh. Can't the real world get here yet, please?

The good news is that once I finish my Admin Law exam on Tuesday, I have several things to look forward to. A trip to DC, a mini-vacation to Plymouth, NC and the Outer Banks, graduation, afternoons by the pool (!) - life won't be so bad after all, even with the 9:30-1:30PM class every weekday. I am going to try to update more often in my blog as the summer progresses and things get even more exciting. And I'm sure I will have some funny/random moments to share as time marches along!

I'm not sure who (if anyone) will read my blog, but if you are here, I'm excited to share bits and pieces of life with you. Come back and catch up often!

The Activia Challenge (and Starting a Blog)

I've tried to start blogs before, but I always fail right away. I think it has something to do with the pressure that I put on the first post. I have all of these thoughts about what a first post should be - an introduction, something that expresses my personality, concerning a topic that isn't too specific but yet has some significance . . . see? Too much pressure. So for this first post, I intend to write about the Activia Challenge.

You've probably seen the commercials for this particular line of Dannon Yogurt. In the most recent one, Jamie Lee Curtis confronts a happy couple at the gym and casually asks them about their digestive tracts. Fortunately, they've been eating Activia, which apparently provides solutions to some of life's most difficult problems - namely, bloating and weight loss. Just eat it for fourteen days in a row, they say, and you will see results - guaranteed! Hmm . . .

Well, in the spirit of New Year's resolutions and turning over new leaves and any number of applicable cliches that relate to trying new things, I have committed to the Activia Challenge. I actually just ate my first "dose" - a little cup of blueberry yogurt. It disappeared in about three bites, and I have to admit, I am wondering how in the world such a little amount of yogurt can make a big difference.

I'll keep you updated (sparing details, of course) on the Challenge, in case you were considering trying it yourself. Happy New Year to you!
